Know which messages come from buyers.
Inside your n8n workflows.
Published · checked against the node’s source and n8n’s docs the same day
The SignalPipe node decides whether the person who wrote an email, a form, a ticket or a post is a real buyer for your product, and calls in a panel of three AI judges when the text is not clear-cut. n8n has verified it, so it installs from the canvas on n8n Cloud and self-hosted n8n. Route the buyers, draft the replies, approve them where you work. Nothing is sent without a person.
What you need
- n8n, on n8n Cloud or self-hosted. The instance owner or an admin installs the node once.
- An operator key, from your dashboard once you are on a plan.
- A product described in your buyer’s words, at setup: a few anchor sentences, the way a customer says the problem out loud.
1. Install the node
- Open a workflow, open the nodes panel and search for SignalPipe.
- Under More from the community, select it and install it.
Two nodes arrive: SignalPipe and SignalPipe Trigger. If they do not show up on n8n Cloud, the instance owner can turn on verified community nodes in the Cloud Admin Panel. On self-hosted n8n you can also install the package n8n-nodes-signalpipe from Settings › Community Nodes.
2. Add your operator key
In n8n, open Credentials, choose New, pick SignalPipe API and paste your key into Operator Key. When you save, n8n checks the key by listing your products. The key is shown once on your dashboard, and creating a new one replaces the old one, so keep it in n8n’s credential store rather than in a node.
3. Judge text in any workflow
Put SignalPipe › Score after any trigger that brings in text: a new email, a form submission, a support ticket, a Slack message, a post another node fetched. Pick the product, map the text, and, for a reply or a comment, add the message it answers as Context so the judges read it in that light.
With Simplify on (the default) you get the score from 0 to 100, the classification (buying_intent, borderline, competitor_mention or noise), the panel’s verdict in panel_verdict (kept, rejected, or not_run when the text was clear-cut on its own), and whether the verdict is degraded. A simple rule for an If node: continue when the classification is buying_intent or competitor_mention and the panel did not reject it. A degraded verdict means the judges should have run and could not, so hold those for a person rather than dropping them. For what a written buying signal looks like, see buying signals.
4. Four workflows to start with
Triage your inbox
Gmail Trigger → SignalPipe Score (Text: the email body, Source: gmail) → If → create a deal in your CRM, or post to a sales channel
Most inbound mail is not a buyer. This sends only the ones that are.
Approve replies from Slack
SignalPipe Trigger (Only With a Draft) → Slack message with the post, its link and the draft → SignalPipe Approve → after you post it, Mark as Sent
The buyer, the context and the reply arrive where you already work.
Draft with your own model
SignalPipe Get Many (Status: Needs a Draft, Include Drafting Context) → an AI node writes the reply → SignalPipe Upload Draft
The drafting context carries what a writer needs: the post, the product and what the person asked.
Give an AI Agent a judge
AI Agent → Tool: SignalPipe (Score)
The agent calls SignalPipe when it needs to know whether a message comes from a buyer, instead of guessing.
Leads can also come to you. If you add feeds in SignalPipe, such as any RSS or Atom feed, the buyers the judges keep become missions, and the SignalPipe Trigger starts your workflow for each new one. It checks on the schedule you set; a test run returns the newest matching mission so you can map its fields.
Everything the nodes do
Signal
Score
Judge whether the author of a text is a real buyer for one of your products. Optional: the post or thread it replies to, and where it came from (gmail, slack and so on), which sets the tone of the suggested reply.
Mission (a buyer SignalPipe kept, with a drafted reply)
Get Many
The open missions: waiting for approval, needing a draft, or approved. Filter by status, product or minimum score; sort newest first or by how much the judges agreed.
Approve
Approve the drafted reply, optionally with your edited wording.
Reject
Reject a mission that was not a real buyer. The reason you pick teaches the judges.
Mark as Sent
Record that you posted the reply yourself, so SignalPipe follows the conversation from there.
Upload Draft
Attach a reply you or a model wrote. The mission then waits for your approval.
Delete
Remove a mission without teaching the judges anything, for example when the post was deleted.
Product
Get Many
The products your buyers are judged against.
SignalPipe Trigger
New Mission
Starts the workflow when SignalPipe finds a new buyer. Filters: product, minimum score, and Only With a Draft. Missions already in the queue when you activate the workflow are skipped.
The node’s source and full field reference are on GitHub, and the package is on npm. Prefer an AI agent over a workflow? The same judging is available over MCP; see the Claude Code sales agent recipe and the agents page.
What it will not do
- Send anything without a person. Approving records your decision, and SignalPipe’s servers post nothing.
- Connect to your inbox, CRM or social accounts. n8n does that, with your credentials, and passes SignalPipe the text.
- Approve a public Reddit comment, an X reply or a private message automatically, whatever the settings.
What it costs
The node is free and open source. Judging is metered in judgements: one judgement is one run of the three-judge panel. Text that is clearly noise, or clearly a buyer, is decided without the panel and costs nothing, so a workflow normally spends well below one judgement per message. Plans start at $29 a month for 3,000; see pricing.
See a verdict before you build anything.
Paste a real message into the live panel and watch the three judges decide. Free, and no account needed.
Questions
Does it work on n8n Cloud?
Yes. n8n verified the node in October 2026, so on n8n Cloud and on self-hosted n8n it installs from the nodes panel. The instance owner or an admin installs it once, and then everyone on the instance can use it.
Is the node free?
The node is free and open source under the MIT license. Judging needs a SignalPipe plan, because it runs on SignalPipe’s servers. Plans start at $29 a month for 3,000 judgements.
Does SignalPipe send replies for me?
No. SignalPipe’s servers post nothing. Approving records your decision. If you run the SignalPipe daemon or plugin, it sends approved replies from your own accounts; otherwise you post the reply, by hand or from your workflow, and record it with Mark as Sent. Public Reddit comments, X replies and private messages are never approved automatically.
Can the AI Agent node use it?
Yes. Add SignalPipe under the AI Agent’s tools and the agent can judge a message whenever it needs to.
Where does the text go?
The node sends the text you score, and any context you add, to SignalPipe at api.signalpipe.io. The privacy policy covers how it is processed.
What if the node does not show up in the nodes panel?
On n8n Cloud, the instance owner can turn on verified community nodes in the Cloud Admin Panel. On self-hosted n8n, install it from Settings > Community Nodes with the package name n8n-nodes-signalpipe.
